Here's another really great Mr. Sub spot from Zig, Toronto. This one is called Firewalker. Previous spots from Zig in the same campaign are Stavros and Subtaur. The creative team for all three is Michael Clowater & Mark Puchala. Directed by James Paterson of Electric Company.
This Sony Bravia ad just makes you want to rub your eyes & grab some Aspirin (or Gravol for motion sickness). I like that it evokes a response. It's titled, fittingly, Visual Effects. Agency is Euro RSCG Buenos Aires. Scooped from Beamo at Best Ads on TV.
Watch Gary become Sally in this hilarious spot, called"Wash", for Sony PlayStation 2. Directed by Tim Godsall of Biscuit Filmworks. Agency: TBWA\Chiat\Day LA.
Toronto-based Reginald Pike has just created a new online house reel of their latest & greatest. Included on this reel is their newest signing -- Christopher Hutsul. Watch it here.
I came across this great Nike Woman website on Computerlove. Not only does the site have great design, but you can also design your own trainers -- I designed the shoe to the left. I know that Vans was doing this long ago on their site, but it's still pretty cool. Site design by RGA, illustrations by Andrezza & creative direction by Pablo Marques.
Tomorrow night Vapor Music is hosting their first annual Independant Music Showcase at Toronto's El Mocambo. Vapor not only does music for TV commercials (they did Dove Evolution), but they also have an artists roster which includes Broken Social Scene. More info on tomorrow night's event here.
Not only does London-based Creative Reviewmagazine have a blog, but they also have a great MySpace page where you can read about how Mother paid £15,000 to edit their February issue. Thanks to Gavin Lucas for letting me know.
This new guerilla campaign for The Truth consists of ice sculptures, in the form of pregnant
women, with toy babies in their stomaches. As the sculptures melt, all that remains are the babies on the ground. A
placard next to the sculptures reads, "Over 30 children lose their moms
to tobacco every day." Agency: Crispin Porter + Bogusky. Scooped from AdHunt.
Toronto's Head Gear Animation have just completed two very clever little spots for Recruit Ireland -- Beep and Creak. Beep is directed by Steve Angel & Creak by Julian Grey. Agency: Chemistry, Dublin. The autograph on the Bella Lugosi picture in Creak is hilarious.
