A great new short called Game Over from First Boards Awards winner PES. I still can't get over the fact that my dad sold my Atari at a garage sale.

Here's a great ad campaign from IDB-FCB, Chile. As many construction sites are closed on weekends, they took the opportunity to put up some life-size Lego. Very fun. From Ads of the World.

Three Legged Legs is a Los Angeles based animation & design collective and if you have not heard about them, you will be. I LOVE when a spot makes me say WOW. Not only is this trailer for Sean Lennon's new album Friendly Fire full of star-power, it's absolutely beautiful. Be patient, it takes a while to load but it worth the wait.Directed by Michele Civetta. Thanks to Craig at Analogue for sending.

In the UK you need a license to have a television -- really. I lived there for two years and I was told that the BBC actually has people driving around in vans searching for "illegal" television signals. Not sure if this is true. In this new campaign directed by Reginald Pike's Lena Beug, the sofas are trying to talk some sense into their owners. By the way, I never actually purchased a license when I was there. Shame on me.

All hail Blogger Bucky Turco of Animal Magazine. This past Friday night he was able to sneak into the opening of Apple's newest tech mecca in New York. After obtaining an entrance card via a sticky-fingered diversion, he then went around to all of the computers on display, changing their internet browser settings to his site. This new AIDS awareness spot out of TBWA\Paris humorously tells the lovey-dovey epic life of a homosexual man. It's a follow up last year's which can be found here.

 

Okay, I hate to admit it but every time I see this spot for Hardee's I get hungry. I actually salivate. Serious. The casting & performances are great. These guys are endearing & not over the top. Directed by John Mastromonaco out of Argyle Brothers, Venice CA.

Here is "Testimonials" the follow-up to last week's "Amazing" spot from Bos Toronto and directed by Reginald Pike's Brian Lee Hughes. The product is the new Mac's Froster flavour Whack, a carbonated slushy drink. Oh, and if you are wondering what Whack tastes like, it's sour lime. Who knew?

The Pugly Awards were established to raise the level of architectural and planning standards with the goal of giving Toronto a more beautiful face. For more infomation check out the new viral campaign created by buddhabutter.

This type of viral is becoming more & more common but they are still fun & appeal to my juvenile side. This one is for Mini out of London interactive shop Glue & lets you make a good poke at your friends. If you have five spare minutes, I highly suggest it as it is very well done.

This is one messed-up Panda. The last & final installment in the Adicolor series is Black, directed by Saiman Chow. Fittingly it's in black & white. Is that a Joy Division tribute in the middle or just a good line?

If I walked in on my guy & his friends doing this, I'd really have to reconsider our relationship. He may be forgiven if there was a TON of alcohol involved. Canadians are so friendly & polite. I should know, I'm one of them. This simple & well executed spot, for PEI Tourism directed by UNTITLED's John Mastromonaco via Grey Worldwide, shows just how far we'll go. Canadian-born John Mastromonaco is repped state-side by Argyle Brothers.

Mac’s Convenience Stores, the Canadian version of the 7-Eleven, are encouraging teens to have a whack. Whack is the new Froster drink flavour (a slushie) & a follow-up to last year's teen-craze the "Bloody Zit". As you can imagine, the ad campaign, by Bos Toronto's Chad Borlase & Gary Watson, is full of double entendre and innuendo. The infomercial-style TV/Cinema ad "Amazing" was directed by Reginald Pike's Brian Lee Hughes & on the website you can upload photos to make your friends part of the show.

Three new Converse ads are posted on Advertising/Design Goodness. I really like two of them but one is a take on Che Guevara. Poor Che, hasn't he been totally over done?

Here's another commercial with some "bleeps". This time it's for Philips new bodygroom all-in-one system. The look is a bit too much like the Mac vs. PC spots that launched this week. Anyone know which came first? Either way, the use of fruit & veg is entertaining.

The ADICOLOR Yellow spot directed by Neill Blomkamp was released today. It's like a trailer for a film that is part Bionic Man, part Blade Runner.  To me if feels completely different than the rest of the series -- less colour, so to speak. Thoughts?

Apple launched this new campaign last night. I, of course, emailed the link to some of my PC friends. I would have sent them the link via iChat, but as they are on PCs that was not possible.

It's sadistic, but there is really nothing more funny than people getting hurt. With that in mind, prepare for a few chuckles when you watch this campaign for Washington Lottery directed by Reginald Pike's The Perlorian Brothers. Agency: Publicis, Seattle.
