As posted on July 21st, I attended the Adobe Design Acheivement Awards. The Winner of the live action category was Karolina Novitska. On the winner's site the music is missing from "Crossword", her winning entry. You can watch it here, with audio. She used over 2,500 stills to create the piece.

Last night I was honoured to present the Live Action category award at the ADAA. I was stepping in for The Perlorian Brothers, who were unable to attend as they are shooting in Europe. Students from 24 countries submitted nearly 1,500 entries and all the work was so amazing. It truly was an inspirational evening. Look at the finalist's & winner's work here & watch the judges in action. Thank you Lucky & Laszlo Perlorian for allowing me to be there on your behalf.

| I'm Hooked on Cherry Citrus Fresca |
| |
Three different Fresca billboards have been up around Toronto for some time now, and I love them. So much that I actually went out & bought the new cherry citrus flavour. I snapped this shot of one of them. The other two read, "10 out of 10 Fresca lovers prefer Fresca" and "Fresca. The Fresca of soft drinks." Creative team Ryan Wagman & Ron Smrczek, Taxi, Toronto.

CBS is advertising its fall line up on eggs. Really. The eggs will be available in grocery stores this fall -- yep, you gotta buy them. While a small part of me thinks this is brilliant, I suddenly have the overwhelming urge to go "egg" CBS headquarters with them. I really don't need my breakfast pushing advertising on me. Fantastically eerie new video from The Fever. Director & band member Geremy Jasper told me all of the animation was a one man operation done, by Benh Zeitlin, on an old school animation stand. The same one that many of the early Sesame Street animations were done on. Thanks to director Lena Beug for sending it my way. Brilliant.

Because it's summer, there are so many commercials on TV for amusement parks and I have to say not many of them are good. What's with all the bad jingles!? This spot for Playland, via Rethink Vancouver and Runt director Aleysa Young, sets itself apart from the rest just by being good. ACD/AD Rob Sweetman & CW Jono Holmes.
