Are you are dirty driver?
Wasserman + Partners’ latest integrated campaign for ICBC features a fictional support group of eight “Dirty Drivers” whose bad driving habits cost them money and hurt the environment. The goal of the campaign to educate people about safe driving and how even the smallest behavioural changes can help them save money and reduce their carbon emissions. Three of the TV spots can be viewed here. More films, a dirty driver quiz and smart driving tips can be found on Drive Smart. Save Green. The campaign was headed-up by Wasserman + Partners' newly appointed CD Liam Greenlaw who also directed the campaign. Full credits are here.

Vintage Airline Ads
Oh how the times have changed. Take a moment to check out Travel + Leisure's collection of 10 funny vintage airline commercials. The best ones, I think, are the Clio award winning first one, the forth that encourages men to bring their wives along, the air striptease in five is hilarious (go Canada!), the 80's power couple in seven and the Miami Go Go in ten. Scooped from AdFreak.

Dexter magazine spoofs
For those of you who check out glossy regularly, you'll know I am a huge fan of the TV show Dexter. For those of you who don't, this is probably my 5th post on the show and its marketing. I love Dexter and equally love its marketing. This new print campaign, based on magazine cover spoofs, to promote the shows third season is no exception. See all nine execution here. Images scooped from Trend Hunter.

I like flatulent humor
I admit it, I think farts are funny (no I'm not a 12-year old boy). So, of course, I like this new spot from Toy, New York for Extended Stay Hotels directed by Biscuit's Noam Murro. I'm so happy that no natural sound was used in the spot -- that would have been overkill. Watch "So Relaxed" with full credits here.

 The Chanel Experience
Chanel went all out, as one would expect, for the launch of their new perfume, ‘Eau première’. The event was staged at a private Parisian apartment. Chanel recruited acclaimed set, window and interior designer Jean-Marc Gady to create an experiential event for guests, a "scenography" tasked with bringing the new fragrance and the heritage of the brand to life. Gady has created spaces for the likes of Louis Vuitton, Moet & Chandon and Apple. View pics here. Scooped from TheCoolHunter.

In Memory of Nagi Noda
It is with great sadness that I pass on this news. This past Sunday the super talented Japanese artist, designer and director Nagi Noda passed away. I have been a fan of her work since I first saw her amazing spot for Franc franc Small Love Stories. It's so good that I cried the first time I saw it and to this day it's one of my favourite ads. She's probably best known for this Coke spot which is a reprise of this video she did for Yuki. You can view all her amazing work here (love her hair hats and paper bag design). This is such a great loss to our industry. Please join me and light a candle or some incense in her memory (Japanese tradition). There is a lovely story here from someone who was lucky enough to have met her. My deepest sympathies go out to all those who knew her. Rest in peace Nagi.
