ZUNE ARTS' FILM "MASKS" INDUCTED INTO NEW YORK CITY'S MUSEUM OF MODERN
ART'S PERMANENT FILM COLLECTION
"MASKS" is Zune Arts' Second Film to Become Part of MoMA's Collection
Yesterday, at the 17th annual AICP* awards show, it was announced that
the Zune Arts film "Masks" was inducted into New York's Museum of
Modern Art's permanent film collection. This Braveheart-meets-Care
Bears battlefield drama, created by renowned New York animation
geniuses Jonathan Garin and Naomi Nishimura (a.k.a. PandaPanther),
features music by The Black Angels and explores how peace can be
better achieved by trading perspectives. The film is currently
available for free viewing from Zune Arts at

Each year, The Art & Technique of the American Commercial holds their
annual awards ceremony, "The Show," to celebrate outstanding
commercials selected for excellence and achievement in various craft
categories. This year's film induction makes it the second Zune Arts
film to become part of MoMA's permanent film archive, with "Generous
Monster" being honored in 2007.
"For one of the Zune Arts films to be recognized by The Museum of
Modern Art is an incredible honor," said Rob Schaltenbrand, Zune Arts
Brand Manager. "This being the second film induction speaks to the
high-quality work being curated for the program and the talented
artists that we're able to work with. It's very exciting for "Masks"
to be recognized by the utmost authority on high art."
Zune Arts recently announced the availability of Zune Arts content
through a new podcast series, which showcases a broad selection of
today's cutting edge cultural artists expressing themselves through
film, music, design and illustration. In addition to showing these
works, the podcast series features artist interviews, exclusive
content, behind-the-scenes videos and more.
